Help us to shape the future
As part of an expansion to our apprenticeship programme, we’re planning to recruit even more apprentices from across our region.
With almost 40 apprenticeships on offer over the next 12 months, we're inviting people to an open day to find out about the opportunities available.
Roles will be offered in areas including electrical engineering, construction, water operations, customer service and human resources.
Apprenticeships at advanced and higher level will also be on offer for people looking to "earn while they learn" instead of going into higher education.
Apprentice Harriet Dal Din joined our civil engineering higher level apprenticeship after deciding university wasn't' the right path for her.
She said: "I'm a hands-on learner and was daunted by the thought of student debt, whereas now I'm receiving a relatively generous salary for a 19-year-old.
"I've enjoyed mixing my college work with being out on site - I love being outside and being part of a team."
The open day follows a similar event held at the beginning of the year, which attracted more than 300 visitors, where current apprentices were on hand to share their experience, along with the teams managing the programmes.
Apprenticeship coordinator Becca Thurston added: "This is a fantastic opportunity for people to gain experience, learn new skills and study towards a qualification.
"With so many roles available in different areas of business, it means whatever your interest, the likelihood is we have an apprenticeship for you, or someone you know."
The open day will take place on Saturday 12 November between 9.30am and 3pm at our regional operations centre in Bath.
