Bogus callers often prey on elderly or vulnerable people by pretending they work for a water company to con their way into homes.
All our staff carry photographic identification and we operate a
password system where requested.
It is very rare that one of our staff would need to enter your home – if they do need to enter they will always show their identity card first and will be happy to wait while you confirm their identity.
Be aware! You could receive a bogus telephone call too.
We have had reports that our customers have been rung up by people claiming to be from a debt agency and asking for an outstanding bill to be settled by credit card, even though the customer concerned has already paid their bill.
If you receive a bogus call like this, call us on 0345 600 4 600 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm) to check whether the call was genuine.
