Charging arrangements
From 1 April 2018, our new connection charges have been set according to the new rules published by our economic regulator, Ofwat.
We have:
- Set up-front fixed prices, published in our charging arrangements document.
- Set infrastructure charges based on the incurred cost of network reinforcement rather than a notional maximum value.
- Provided income offset between developers and other customers.
The services and charges affected include new water and wastewater connections, new water mains and sewers, infrastructure charges and income offsetting.
For further information please refer to our charging arrangements on the right. We have also created a new calculator, which will allow you to interactively generate an initial quotation for your project. See worked examples of typical developments

Our performance
We've been working with other water companies and Water UK to agree service targets. These standards cover our performance in activities that are essential for housing development. They include responding to initial enquiries, providing designs and quotations, construction and connection, and dealing with legal agreements.
The performance levels are published quarterly by Water UK, find out how performance is measured and levels of service and latest reports.
