Discount for low income pensioners

If you’re a pensioner, you could be entitled to a discount on your water and/or sewerage bill.

Who is entitled to the discount?

You can apply if we provide you with water and/or sewerage services and all the adults in your household receive Pension Credit or the state pension is your (and their) only income.

How much money can you save?

You can save around £60 off your water and/or sewerage bill.

How does the discount work?

We apply a reduction to your bill in the billing period you apply and providing your circumstances do not change, the discount will automatically apply to all future bills and you do not have to reapply each year or if you move.

What do you need to give to apply?

  • your date of birth
  • a copy of your evidence to show entitlement to Pension Credit or a copy of your bank statement showing the state pension as your only income.

Any evidence sent needs to show your name and address and be dated within the last 12 months.

How can you apply?

You can apply through our online form or contact us.

Got a query about completing the form?

Please call us on 0345 600 3 600 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm, Saturday 8am to 2pm) or submit your query.
