Managing someone else’s account
You can manage someone else’s water and/or sewerage account if they can no longer do it themselves.
If they can no longer manage their account
If a family member or friend can no longer manage their account by themselves and you would like to do it for them, you will need to be their lasting power of attorney (LPA) or deputy.
If they are missing
If a family member or friend is missing and you would like to manage their account in their absence, you will need to apply to be their guardian.
Getting in touch with us
If you are someone’s LPA, deputy or guardian, you can become responsible for their account by providing us with a copy of the documentation issued by the Office of Public Guardianship.
Please email a copy of the original document to customer.services@wessexwater.co.uk or send it by post to: Wessex Water, 1 Clevedon Walk, Nailsea, Bristol BS48 1WA
Please do not send original copies as we cannot guarantee a safe return.
